You can now sign up for a newsletter straight to your email. Go to the bottom of the contact page and sign up to hear about everything that has been happening recently. Classes, takeaway clay and even a mention on the radio!
In September twenty air drying takeaway packages went over to AceArts in Somerton to hand out to people in sheltered accommodation. These were adapted to be suitable for a range of people. 10 had a portion of clay in a container and 10 had pre rolled clay for those with restrictive movement in their hands. An animal theme was designed suitable for those with dementia. A few specially designed instructions were created for the visually impaired. Lots of textures were also included. In October Nina from AceArts gave an interview to Frome Fm. The interview is about 23 minutes in. Feedback was very positive and another 20 takeaway packages are being dispatched in November. Creative Clay For All celebrated it's 5th anniversary on Tuesday.
Braille printed worksheets have arrived for clay takeaway packages. These are on non rip, wipe clean paper bound booklets. They are available in takeaway packages across Dorset on request.
The first group takeaway packages went out to Bournemouth and Poole last week. One to an assisted living for physically disabled and one to a care home specializing in learning disabilities. I had good feedback from both and the creations look brilliant.

8th June 2020
Have you seen the new #Stayathome tab? Making ideas, takeaway clay packages and virtual demos. I am now excited to announce that we will have clay worksheets available in braille later this month. These will be in non tear, wipe clean paper, making the clay takeaway workshops even more inclusive.

30th March 2020
An update for you all. Dorset Arts Weeks is postponed until 2021. All my classes up to 30th April are cancelled. Mid April I hope there will be more details of the length of time we will be on lockdown. At that point I hope to reschedule any classes that can not run to new dates with possibly new venues.
I am regularly posting on Facebook and Twitter any resources you may find interesting including podcasts and free access to crafts magazine. On Instagram I am slowly posting pictures of March's workshops. If you are lucky enough to have clay in your house and are currently making please keep finished pieces wrapped and at leather hard stage if you wish to transport to a kiln for firing. They are less likely to break during transportation and can be repaired if they break. When lockdown is over I will be posting kiln firing charges if you need some firings done. Please stay safe, learn new skills, virtually explore new things.
